Seminars

Legacy of Truth Ministries offers a range of Academic and Critical Thinking training seminars targeted for audiences from high school and college students, to church congregations. Our training is designed to help God’s people be empowered to live rationally in a culture that emphasizes the importance and primacy of feelings.  It endeavors to meet the ever-increasing need to build an aggressive questioning mind in an image-dominated world by teaching individuals how to evaluate the images and ideas that confront them and how to respond appropriately.

When Students Ask (CT-1)

This seminar is designed to help students evaluate and navigate the cultural and social landscapes that encourage doubt and uncertainty. When students ask tough questions or express their doubts and share their uncertainty about Christianity, it indicates that they are ”thinking for themselves.” It is extremely important that we use this time to help them to think for themselves with respect to their faith. Questions covered in this seminar: The Nature of Truth, The Origin of the Universe & Life, The Existence & Nature of God, Morality, Good & Evil, Who is Jesus & Why Is He The Only Way To God?

When Professors Ask (CT-2)

Students will learn how to “think for themselves” in such a way to discover why the Christian Faith is academically sound. This seminar emphasizes first principles (self-evident truths) as the foundation for all academic studies and shows how they are anchored in the nature and attributes of the God of the Bible. Five major academic disciplines will be examined: Philosophy, Science, Legal Theory, Justice, and Morality. Students will also be taught how to communicate their Christian values and beliefs using academic terminology.

When Jesus Asks

The essential problem with trying to share the Christian worldview—in a multicultural society focused on diversity—is that it is often met with apprehension by the average Christian. In fact, the number one reason why Christians do not witness is fear—mostly the fear of rejection and fear of being humiliated. Yet, Jesus never hesitated to respond to controversial issues or tough questions. In fact, almost all of his responses are conveyed in the form of questions and left his questioners either amazed or speechless. These sessions can help us gain an understanding of the method Jesus used when he answered hard-hitting questions.
