Human Rights – Who Decides?
Our founding fathers understood the axiomatic truths of life and their ultimate justification in the divine lawgiver and author of life and all truth, God. Consequently, they clearly articulated that the role of government was to protect God-given human rights. The Declaration of Independence forthrightly states, “That to secure these rights, Governments are instituted among men.” It is obvious that our founding fathers believed that governments were instituted to secure human rights—they did not believe that governments were instituted to create these rights.
